Recreation offered in Dunlap

Swimming Pool: Dunlap's first swimming pool was built in 1920, with renovations done in the 1930's and 1950's. In 1997 it was decided to build a new pool. Many children and adults take full advantage to the opportunity to cool off with a swim in the summer months. Pool manager Linda Kirk schedules the lifeguards to work so that the young folks enjoying the water can do it safely. The pool usually opens the last weekend in May, each day from 1:00 - 5:00 PM and every evening from 7:00 - 9:00 PM except on Sunday evenings. The pool is also available for private parties which are held on the Sunday evenings. Red Cross Swimming lessons are available. For more information please call 643-5506 or 643-5721.
